Connections between JS7 products can be secured using Private Keys and Certificates for the HTTPS (TLS/SSL) protocol.

  • Users can use a Private Certificate Authority (CA) or Public CA to set up JS7 - Secure Connections by SSL TLS Certificates.
  • Users can use the the JS7 - Certificate Authority that is included with JOC Cockpit to create Private Keys and to roll-out keys and certificatesrollout Certificates.
    • This includes simplified roll-out of keys and certificates rollout to Controller instances and Agentsand Agent instances to establish HTTPS connections.
    • The buildbuilt-in certificate authority Certificate Authority is applicable when operating JS7 in a low or medium security levelSecurity Level, see see JS7 - Security Architecture.
    Users can use their individual certificate authority - or respective service provider - to create private keys and certificates.
  • Users have to manage the roll-out of certificates to Controller instances and Agents in a secure way.
  • An individual certificate authority can be used for any of the low, medium and high JS7 security levels.
