JobScheduler can be integrated into a Tivoli® Workload Scheduler (TWS) environment, with a TWS Agent being used to communicate with JobScheduler via a web service and the TWS "Conman" client.

The diagram below shows one possible landscape in which TWS is used to control SAP systems. This solution was implemented as part of a migration from Control-M to JobSchedulerThe graph below shows a possible landscape how to integrate SAP systems scheduled by TWS into a JobScheduler installation.

  • The TWS agent starts uses a web service to start orders/jobs in JobScheduler via WebService as well as other applications.
  • JobScheduler starts TWS jobstreams identified with by the workstation and jobstream name by calling the TWS commandline "conman" command line tool conman.
  • JobScheduler starts uses shell scripts to start processes in its controlled applications via shell scriptsthe applications it controls directly.
