- Both the
...
- YADE Client and
...
- the YADE Background Service can be executed on any operating system that
...
- supports a Java Virtual Machine.
...
- The YADE Client is written in Java and the YADE Background Service is provided by one of our YADE JITL Jobs runing on a JobScheduler. The Client does not require any Java libraries that are specific to 32-bit or 64-bit systems, which means that it can be run with either 32-bit or 64-bit Java versions.
- The YADE Background Service job itself does not use any Java libraries that are specific to 32-bit or 64-bit systems but as documented in the JobScheduler installation guide, the 64-bit JobScheduler version requires a 64-bit Java. For details see Which platforms is JobScheduler available for and what platform support is provided?
- Releases of the YADE Client and YADE Background Service for Windows and Linux systems can be downloaded directly from our web site
...
Java 1.6 or newer is required for both the JADE Client and BackgroundService.
