  • Monitoring in JS7 includes
    • monitoring of the availability of JS7
  • System Monitors are tools that execute repeated checks for availability of software components. 
  • Users can monitor JS7 by use of a number of System Monitor products that check the availability of
    • JOC Cockpit, Controller and Agents

  • Active Checks are initiated from the System Monitor server and are performed on a regular basis, e.g. every 5 minutes.
    • The purpose of Active Checks is to verify the availability of the JS7 components.

  • Monitoring results can be handled in the following ways:
    • to feed a System Monitor that is a tool that executes repeated checks for availability of software components. 
    • to make monitoring results visible with the JS7 - Monitoring view. 
    Passive Checks are initiated from the JOC Cockpit and report execution results of workflows and jobs to a System Monitor.
