- Open Source License
- Commercial License
- Both license models are used for the same source code and therefore the same functionality of the products.
- SOS is committed to Open Source. Our software products are open source and will stay open source.Open Open Source is about free software, in the sense of freely available source code - it is not about services being free of charge.Open Source is about fully featured software, not about marketing. We therefore do not publish trial versions of commercially licensed products as Open Source software.
- The dual license offers the choice to the customer between Open Source License and Commercial License.
Commercial Licensing
- SOS grants customers that have purchased commercial licenses access to a wide range of Support Options and Commercial Services.
- Customers of commercial licenses help us to finance on-going development from license revenues.
- Customers benefit from on-going maintenance, support and services, e.g. training and consulting.
- Customers report issues in our Trouble Ticket System, are guaranteed response times and receive immediate support in case of production standstill.
