Both the JADE Client and BackgroundService can run on any operating system that can support a Java Virtual Machine. The JADE Client is written in Java and the BackgroundService is provided by one of our JITL jobs runing on a JobScheduler. The Client does not require any Java libraries that are specific to 32-bit or 64-bit systems, which means that it can be run in conjunction with either 32 or 64-bit Java versions. The BackgroundService job also uses no itself does not use any Java libraries that are specific to 32-bit or 64-bit systems but as documented in the JobScheduler installation guide, the 64-bit JobScheduler version requires a 64-bit Java.
