Introduction
A Profile is the starting point for specifying a file transfer. A profile is specified when each file transfer operation is run. See Running File Transfers with the JADE Client for an example of how to call a Profile.

The Profile can be seen as a specification of what is to be done. The Protocol fragment as a specification that is selected from a library of predefined specifications of how the transfer is to be done.
