Introduction
Connections between JS7 products can be secured using Private Keys and Certificates for the HTTPS (TLS/SSL) protocol.
- Users can use a Private Certificate Authority (CA) or Public CA to set up JS7 - Secure Connections by SSL TLS Certificates.
- For details ee JS7 - How to create X.509 SSL TLS Certificates.
- Users can use the JS7 - Certificate Authority that is included with JOC Cockpit to create Private Keys and to rollout Certificates.
- This includes simplified rollout to Controller and Agent instances to establish HTTPS connections.
- The built-in Certificate Authority is applicable when operating JS7 in a low or medium Security Level, see JS7 - Security Architecture.
